We would like to say a MASSIVE THANK YOU to those of you who stuck with us throughout very uncertain times.
Behind the scenes of the Beast Race is a small but very enthusiastic events team who work on a number of outdoor events alongside our charity partner Chest, Heart and Stroke Scotland. After much deliberating, we have made the very difficult decision to consolidate the energy of three events into one, bringing all the Beast Racers from across the country together in one location for a MEGA Beast Race at our Banchory venue, the birthplace of the Beast Race. Ultimately this decision has been made in response to the pandemic with rapidly increasing costs associated with hosting an obstacle course race (haulage, obstacle materials etc) and the continuing insecurity of covid restrictions.
To all the Beast Racers that wanted to do the Loch Ore Beast Race we are truly sorry. We put so much work into it and we are gutted not to see it through and get this new venue off the ground. Please don't miss out on the Banchory Beast Race and we also have an alternative event we think you might be interested in!
If you still have a ticket from the postponed 2021 Loch Ore event we have sent you an email to this effect. We will automatically move your Loch Ore ticket across to the Banchory Beast Race, alternatively you can get a refund by completing this form (requests must be given by 30th Jan 2022 and refunds will be issued within the days after). For Loch Ore ticket holders under the age of 16 signed up to the 6km distance we will issue your refund automatically as unfortunately we cannot offer that age group at the Banchory event.
Don't miss out on the original Beast Race location in the heart of Aberdeenshire:
We have a brand new event which will replace the Loch Ness Beast Race, it is very different in nature but equally, if not more, challenging. Say hello to the Loch Ness 24, an epic 24hr solo or team relay trail running race on the banks of the world's most famous Loch.
Take on the ultimate endurance challenge and clock up as many 7km laps as you can along the most spectacular trails through ancient Scots pine forest and along the beaches of Loch Ness. Soak up the festival atmosphere and camaraderie at the event village and camp out under the stars in the most iconic location.
